To our esteemed friends and patrons:

We have been anticipating this move for some time, but following our state and local governments' Covid-19 directives, and with concern for the comfort, health, safety, and welfare of our guests, the Social Daunce Irregulars regret to announce the cancellation of our November 2020 ball. (Please note that if you have already purchased tickets for this event, your subscription will be refunded.)

But do not despair: We will be back next year, to gather in Terpsichorean fellowship, on November 27, 2021. So mark your calendars and plan to join us for what will certainly be a joyous reunion!

And in the meantime, let's keep in touch. Be sure to follow us on Facebook for updates on new dance videos, articles of interest on costuming, manners and practices!

Until we can meet and dance together again - stay safe!

Southern California's grandest Victorian grand ball.

The Social Daunce Irregulars have been presenting victorian balls in Pasadena California for thirty years. We are dedicated to keeping the tradition of 19th Century ballroom dancing alive in our otherwise gray and pedestrian world, and providing our guests with an enjoyable and authentic victorian dance experience.

All of our music and all of our dances date from the 19th Century, and all of our music is provided by a live orchestra. We use no recorded music during our balls.

To add to the ambiance, we suggest, but do not insist that our patrons wear the formal attire or military uniforms (any nation) of the 19th Century
